TYNGSBORO — Tyngsboro High School has announced its Students of the Month for March.
Claire Shambley, daughter of Mary Mt. Pleasant and Will Shambley, was a two-year member of the National Honor Society. She also received the Academic Excellence Award, Principal’s Award, the Commitment to Learning Award, and National Honor Society Award and was on the high honor roll for four consecutive years. Claire also served as the treasurer of the National Honor Society during her senior year. She was also a four-year member of the varsity lacrosse team where she was named captain for her senior season. She also received the USA Lacrosse All-American Academic Award and the Midland Wachusett All-Star Award. Claire has also participated in several community services such as organizing the National Honor Society as an officer; volunteering at the Tyngsboro Block Party, Festival of Trees, other events for the Tyngsboro Parks and Recreation, and volunteering at youth lacrosse clinics. Her hobbies include playing lacrosse and basketball, hanging out with her friends, hiking, sewing, and biking. Claire’s favorite subjects were math with Mrs. Rich and English with Mr. Raras. She plans to attend college and major in industrial engineering and business and eventually pursue a career in product design.
Ashley Gauthier, daughter of Jennifer and Ed Gauthier, was a member of the National Honor Society for two years. She also has received the Academic Excellence Award award each year, the National Honor Society Award, the Core Value Award and the Commitment to Learning Award. Ashley was also a member of the Book Club during her senior year. She has participated in community service such as the Tyngsboro Block Party, National Honor Society events, and assisting dance classes. Her hobbies include dance and baking and her favorite subjects are biology, chemistry, and anatomy. Ashley’s future goals include attending college and looking for research opportunities.
Kaylie Cashman, daughter of Kristen Cashman, was on honor roll for three consecutive years and a recipient of the Principal’s Award. She was also a member of the varsity softball team for all four years at THS. Kaylie has also volunteered her time at youth softball clinics for several years. Her hobbies include walking her dog, going to the beach, and vacationing. Kaylie’s favorite subjects are anatomy and math and her future goals are to attend college, major in nursing, and travel the world.
Christos Panagakis, son of Ted and Maria Panagakis, was the vice president of DECA for the last four years. He also was a member of the student council. Christos was a four-year member of the football and baseball team. He has also participated in community service such as the Tyngsboro Block Party and Holy Trinity Church events. Christos’s hobbies include fishing, cooking, and hanging with friends and his favorite subject is math. He plans on attending college and becoming an accountant.
