Tyngsboro High’s December Students of the Month

TYNGSBORO — Tyngsboro High School has announced its Students of the Month for December.

Natalie Landsteiner, daughter of Scott and Jessica Landsteiner, is a two-year member of the National Honor Society. She has received numerous awards such as Outstanding Achievement in English Language Arts, Outstanding Achievement in Theatre Arts, the Academic Excellence Award and the Core Values Award. Natalie is an active member of the Theatre Program receiving Best Actress, Excellence in Acting, and Excellence in Directing. She is the yearbook editor and has given back to her community by tutoring and volunteering at numerous National Honor Society events. Natalie’s hobbies include singing, playing guitar, acting, snowmobiling, four wheeling, hiking, shopping, and caring for animals. Natalie’s favorite subject is science and her future goals are to get her Ph.D in veterinary science, start a family, and have many pets.

Johnathan Mantzoufas, son of Olga and Brenden Beckstein, is a one-year member of the National Honor Society. He has received numerous awards such as the Academic Excellence Award, the Commitment to Learning Award, the Principal’s Award, and high honor roll. Johnathan is a member of the basketball and track and field teams where he was named captain this year. He is also a member of the Chess Club and Esports. Johnathan has given back to his community by completing over 40 hours of community service with the National Honor Society. His hobbies include running, drawing, and chess and his favorite subjects are math and physical education. Johnathan’s plans include majoring in computer engineering and cybersecurity and running track and field in college.

Riley Mitza, daughter of Kerry and Eric Mitza, is a two-year member of the National Honor Society. She is the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement in Wellness Award and the Principal’s Award. Riley is an active member of student government where she serves as the vice president and is a member of the Senior Sidekicks. She has been a member of the varsity soccer team for the last four years where she has been the recipient of numerous awards including four-time Mid-Wach All-Star, four-time team MVP, three-time Central Mass All-Star, three-time All-State, and two-time League MVP. Riley has participated in community service by volunteering at the Tyngsboro Block Party, Festival of Trees, Friends of the Poor Walk, and Wreaths Across America. Her hobbies include playing soccer, hanging out with friends and family, shopping, and watching sports. Riley’s favorite subject is American history and her future plans are to play college soccer at the University of New Hampshire, get her master’s degree, and work in a crime scene.

Rebekah Ruiz, daughter of Magali and Nelson Ruiz, is a two-year member of the National Honor Society and a three-year member of the Spanish National Honor Society. She has received numerous awards such as Academic Excellence Award, Core Values Award, Outstanding Achievement in Social Studies, the Saint Michael’s College Book Award for Scholarship and Service, Tiger Pride Award, High Honor Roll, and Excellence in Dramaturg. Rebekah is a member of the Yearbook Club, theater program, the varsity tennis team, and has participated in the Book Club, DEI Club and the Baking Club. She is also a member of the Student Council where she has served as treasure for the past two years. Rebekah has volunteered at numerous organizations including the Nashua Soup Kitchen, Lowell Transitional Living, Living Waters, The Wish Project, Tyngsboro Public Library, Festival of Trees, Tyngsboro Block Party, Camp Caribe, Operation Christmas Child, VBS Program at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, Give Kids the World, Thanksgiving’s Food Drive at Dracut House of Pizza & Seafood and Jacob’s Well, and as a Sunday school assistant teacher at Northeastern Christian Church & Harbor of Hope Christian Church. Her hobbies include reading, writing, shopping, and watching TV and her favorite subjects are math and AP Language. Rebekah’s future goals are to attend a four-year college, gain a Master of Business Administration, work at an event-planning service, establish her own event-planning business, hold a side career in creative writing, become a published author and make a lot of money.
