TYNGSBORO — Tyngsboro High School has announced its Students of the Month for February.
Grace Angelo, daughter of Melanie and David Angelo, is a four-year member of the National Honor Society. She has received numerous awards such as the Academic Excellence Award, Outstanding Achievement in World Language, Outstanding Achievement in Science, the Core Values Award, the Commitment to Learning Award, and the Rochester Institute of Technology Women in STEM Award. Grace is a member of the varsity field hockey team where she earned the titles of senior captain and MVP, while also being recognized as a Mid-Wach All-Star in both her junior and senior years. Additionally, she was a dedicated five-year member of the varsity lacrosse team, where she served as captain in her senior year. Grace is the treasurer of the National Honor Society and a member of the Medical Professionals Club. She has dedicated her time to various community service initiatives, including the Festival of Trees, peer tutoring, the Holiday Marketplace, the Lighthouse School, and food drives. Grace’s hobbies include reading, playing field hockey, painting, and running. Her favorite subjects include physics, chemistry, math, and biology. She plans to attend Rowan University, where she will study chemical engineering and continue playing field hockey.
Reese Graham, son of Rich and Kim Graham, has been the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award in Business for two consecutive years and the Core Values Award. Reese is a dedicated member of the varsity soccer team, where he served as captain and was honored with the Coaches Award. He is also a member of the varsity lacrosse team. Beyond athletics, he is actively involved in the Robotics Club, Student Ambassadors, and serves as the vice president of the DECA Club. His hobbies include weightlifting, work, skiing, hiking, and sports. Reese’s favorite subject is history and his future goals are to attend college, get a degree in finance, and have a happy family.
Makayla Hughes, daughter of Elizabeth and Joel Hughes, is a two-year member of the National Honor Society. She has received the Academic Excellence Award, the AP Scholar Award, the Massachusetts Student Achievement Award, and the Silver Award. Makayla is also a seven-year member of the Tyngsboro Theater Program where she was a costume designer and an actor. She is also a four-year member of the varsity tennis team and a member of the Book Club. Makayla has participated in community service such as volunteering at the Tyngsboro Library, Tyngsboro Block Party, and Tyngsboro Youth Soccer. Her hobbies include painting, reading, talking with friends, and writing and her favorite subjects are history, art, and anatomy. Makayla’s future goals are to become a successful architect and/or wildlife researcher and be able to travel the world, gaining as many new experiences as possible.
Blandine Thereza Tshimanga Demoko, daughter of Darnella Demoko and Felly Tshimanga, is a two-year member of the National Honor Society. She has received numerous awards such as the MCAS Massachusetts Student Achievement Award, Outstanding Achievement in English Award, the Principal’s Award, the Core Values Award, Excellence in Advanced Drawing and Painting Award, Excellence in French Language and Culture Award, and Excellence in Honors Biology Award. Blandine has participated in varsity track for three years and is a member of the Yearbook Club and the Medical Professionals Club. Blandine has been actively involved in community service, volunteering her time at the Tyngsboro Block Party, Sherburne Nature Center, and as a Youth Assists Youth tutor. Her hobbies include drawing, painting, learning new things, and dancing and her favorite subjects are French, anatomy, and math. Blandine plans to go to college, pursue a career in medicine or aviation and travel the world.
